Part 2 - Lower RF Shield Removal

a. Removing this cover will expose a large area of the motherboard. From now on take good anti-static precautions and be very careful! An anti-static wrist strap is a good idea.

b. Remove the 5 screws holding the shield in place. Carefully peel back the three yellow pieces of tape at the front edge of the shield. The shield can now be carefully removed. Where it is stuck down with foil tape, very carefully peel away the foil tape leaving it attached to the shield. Avoid creasing or tearing the tape.

Remove and set aside the shield.
